A boutique wealth management firm in East London, Eastern Cape requires a Chartered Accountant for holistic financial planning and investment advice. You will conduct needs analyses, develop tailored plans, recommend investment and insurance products, and conduct regular portfolio reviews. The role services a portfolio of high-net-worth clients. Responsibilities Oversee preparation and presentation of accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and board reports. Ensure full compliance with all tax legislation and regulatory requirements, managing preparation and submission of all tax returns. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure information integrity. Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and the board on financial performance, risk, and growth opportunities. Mentor and develop finance team members, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and fostering continuous improvement. Lead and manage the external audit process, preparing audit files, responding to queries, and ensuring timely sign-off of financial statements. Develop annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts, monitoring performance and providing variance analysis with detailed commentary. Requirements A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics with an honours degree or postgraduate qualification strongly preferred. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen to understand the broader context of financial decisions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Microsoft Excel including building integrated three-statement models. A professional accounting or finance qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, CFA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognised designation. For credit roles, thorough understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and experience with credit rating models.
